OUR MISSION

Our mission is to connect people with trusted financial education, practical tools, and experienced professionals who can help them navigate life’s financial decisions. Whether you’re creating your first budget, preparing to buy a home, improving your credit, or planning for retirement, we’re here to provide reliable resources that support lifelong financial success.

Take On Money was developed by Student Achievement & Advocacy Services, a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit dedicated to facilitating promising teens to maximize their potential.

Our Legacy of Inspiring Future Leaders

For more than two decades, Student Achievement & Advocacy has been committed to helping young people discover their potential through innovative educational programs and meaningful mentorship.

Since 2001, our organization has created opportunities that encourage critical thinking, leadership, and lifelong learning. Long before financial education became our primary focus, we believed that success comes from the ability to make informed decisions, adapt to change, and pursue meaningful work. Today, those same values continue to guide Take On Money as we help people build the knowledge and confidence to make sound financial decisions throughout their lives.

Our commitment has always been to empower individuals, especially young people, to live their best lives by developing the skills needed to thrive in an ever-changing world.

Signature Programs

Adventures of the Mind

Thousands of students participated in Adventures of the Mind, an internationally recognized achievement and leadership summit often described as “TED for Teens.” High school students spent several days on a college campus learning from an extraordinary faculty of mentors, including technology entrepreneurs, Pulitzer Prize-winning writers, astronauts, archaeologists, Nobel Prize-winning scientists, and distinguished public servants. Beyond inspiring presentations, students connected with intellectual peers from around the world while exploring ideas that challenged and expanded their perspectives.

Prize for Promise

Prize for Promise celebrated exceptional young women whose leadership, innovation, and vision demonstrated the potential to create lasting positive change. The program awarded a $100,000 prize to a woman between the ages of 21 and 35 whose achievements reflected extraordinary promise. Winners were selected by a distinguished panel of accomplished leaders representing a wide range of professions and disciplines.
